Stan or, by his full name, Stanley Marsh, is one of the main characters from the comedy animated show South Park. He is friend with Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, and Eric Cartman. He made his debut on television on August 13, 1997 when the first episode of South Park was launched, after having appeared in The Spirit of Christmas shorts that was created by Parker and his long-time colleague, Matt Stone.
